Mệnh lệnh, lời khuyên và đề nghị: Lý Thuyết

Không lùi thì, chỉ đổi sang to V:

• tell + O + to V (ra lệnh, bảo): "Close the door!" → He told me to close the door.
• ask + O + to V (nhờ, đề nghị lịch sự): "Please help me." → She asked me to help her.

Phủ định: đặt not trước to — "Don't be late!" → He told me not to be late.

• advise + O + to V: "You should see a doctor." → She advised me to see a doctor.
• warn + O + (not) to V: "Don't touch it!" → He warned me not to touch it.
• remind + O + to V: "Remember to call me." → She reminded me to call her.
• encourage / invite / order + O + to V

suggest KHÔNG đi với to V mà đi với V-ing hoặc mệnh đề that:

• "Let's go swimming." → He suggested going swimming.
• Hoặc: He suggested that we should go swimming.

❌ He suggested me to go — lỗi rất phổ biến.

• promise + to V: "I will help you." → He promised to help me.
• agree + to V: "All right, I'll come." → She agreed to come.
• refuse + to V: "No, I won't go." → He refused to go.
• offer + to V: "Shall I carry it for you?" → He offered to carry it.
• thank + O + for + V-ing; apologise for + V-ing; congratulate + O + on + V-ing

1. suggest + V-ing, không phải suggest sb to V.

2. Phủ định đặt not TRƯỚC to: told me not to go.

3. Đừng quên tân ngữ với tell/ask/advise/remind/warn.

4. Sau giới từ for/on dùng V-ing: thanked me for helping, apologised for being late.
